Chick Night is just around the corner, and it’s time for the girls to have
a night out together!  Grab some girlfriends and bring them with you on
Sunday, May 16th @ 7 pm in the Healing Place Church Arena.  Doors will open at 6 pm with lots of surprises just for you!  Childcare is provided for 0-11 starting at 6 pm as well.

You are not going to want to miss out on the fun, the worship and a special word from our special friend Dianne Wilson, originally from the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia.  Dianne, alongside her husband Jonathan, are currently the Senior Pastors of Newport Church in California.  Dianne’s experience as best-selling author, speaker, and television presenter has given her the opportunity to reach and influence many women.  I just believe she has something that God wants to plant into our hearts!

It’s going to be an awesome experience!!!  We can’t wait to see you!

Dedication Weekend!

Hey Girls,

Do you know what is my favorite part of moving into a new home - the housewarming, of course!!   It’s when you open your doors and announce that you are finally HOME, and you invite good friends and family to come and see and celebrate all that God has given you.  Well, that’s what we are doing this weekend!

Healing Place Church will be dedicating our new HP Arena THIS SUNDAY with special guest speaker, Brian Houston, from Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia!!  We are so excited to have this long-time friend be a part of this incredible miracle weekend.  You will definitely want to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to be a part of this historic event.  Years of faith, believing, sacrifice, and giving have contributed to this celebration!

Service times are Sunday, at 9 am and 11:15 am, but be sure to arrive early to get a great seat!  This party’s gonna be BIG!!  I will see you there!!!

Let’s Get Together

Posted on 8th April 2010 by DeLynn Rizzo in Uncategorized

Hey Beautiful Girls,

I pray Easter was a wonderful time for you and your families!  It was so great seeing many of you at the Easter services!  I have heard so many encouraging stories about lives being changed.  That’s truly what it is all about!!  And I must say again that I am truly still amazed at the Arena and what a miracle it is.  Every time I am in it, I am reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness!!

Are you ready to get together again?  I sure am!  This Sunday night at the Highland Annex, Healing Place Women will meet at 6:30 pm with pampering and a light snack at 6 pm.  It’s so important for us to come together as women!  I just believe that we can offer strength, support, love, and so much more to one another.  So, call up a girlfriend this week and invite them to come with you.  It’s going to be awesome!

Also, I like to keep you updated on other events happening in the community.  Saturday, April 17th, will be the Women Praying for Women 2010 Spring Prayer Breakfast and our very own, Tabitha Montalbano, will be the guest vocalist!

I’m sure you have heard her sweet voice during worship and know that God has truly blessed her with an anointed gift for music.  We are so excited that she will be a part of this powerful event!

This year’s guest speaker is Mrs. Cathy Moffitt, who is the founder and president of Heartfelt International Ministries.  The 2010 Prayer Breakfast will take place at Boudreaux’s — 2647 Government Street in Baton Rouge — from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The cost to attend is only $18, but advance registration and payment must be received by April 12th to guarantee seating. To register, simply contact Sugar Hymel at (225) 716-1967 or email: womenprayingforwomen@gmail.com.

EASTER at HPC

Posted on 1st April 2010 by DeLynn Rizzo in Uncategorized

Hey Girls,

Don’t you just love Easter?  It signals the arrival of spring — a refreshing rebirth of nature — and it represents the very foundation of our beliefs:

Jesus is ALIVE!!

The grave couldn’t keep Him down; our God reigns… that’s what this weekend is all about.  And this weekend is going to be simply amazing - Easter in the new Healing Place Arena!  We are believing that many lives will be changed for eternity!

This weekend, you have four services to choose from:

There will be two services on Saturday at 4:00 pm and 6:15 pm and then two on Sunday morning at 9:00 am and 11:15 am.  Be sure to come early so you can park and be settled when the worship starts.  You can even grab a cup of coffee from our new Missions Cafe & Bookstore!

And you won’t want to miss the HP Women Servolution Outreach - Easter Egg Hunt for Special Needs- this Saturday at 9 am by the playground at the HPC Highland campus.

I look forward to seeing each one of you!

Love you,

DeLynn

Living Our Dreams

Posted on 24th March 2010 by DeLynn Rizzo in Uncategorized
  • Hello Beautiful Girls!

You all know how much I encourage you to dream — dream BIG — and watch God bring those dreams to life…
Well, this week, we get to see some pretty big dreams come true!!

This Thursday (March 25th), the new Healing Place Arena will open its doors for our very first service:  VISION NIGHT!
Girls, you do not want to miss this amazing event!  This is the moment we have been working toward for so long.  Bring the whole family!  The service starts at 7:00 pm, and childcare will be provided for ages 0-11.

My voice is finally back, but I’m at a loss for words because of God’s goodness!  In a way, it seems like yesterday that we were breaking ground on the land where the arena would someday stand, and now it’s here!!!

This Sunday, March 28th,begins our weekend services in the new arena!!  Our new service times will be on Sundays at 9:00 am and 11:15 am.  I’m so excited about all God is doing, and what He’s going to do, in our new location.  I can’t wait to see His kingdom grow!!

One of our biggest dreams has always been to see thousands of people demonstrating the love of Christ in a very real way:  through SERVING.  This dream has come to pass as well as we head into 10 days of SERVOLUTION! Each year just gets bigger and better!!  Grab your red serve shirt & sign up today for one of the many outreach opportunities.  The Servolution rally will take place this Saturday, March 27th at 9 am at the Highland campus.  Girls, let’s show the world what the Church is supposed to be:  Let’s be Jesus through our random acts of kindness and compassion!!  Servolution starts this Friday and leads all the way up to Easter Sunday, so sign up today!

Love,

DeLynn

Here Comes the Sun…

Posted on 12th March 2010 by DeLynn Rizzo in Uncategorized

Hey Girls,
I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous spring weather!!  It’s so good to see the sun again after so many cold, rainy days!  And the weather is not the only thing to smile about…
Healing Place Women meets THIS SUNDAY!!

Invite your girlfriends and come spend some great time in amazing worship and fellowship with other HP Chicks.  The service will start Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.  There will be a light snack and pampering at 6:00 pm.   Childcare will be provided for ages 0-11.  This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and be refreshed, so you won’t want to miss it!

I am so excited that the new Healing Place Arena will soon be open, and we are doing everything to prepare for that day.  This Saturday morning — from 9 to 11 am — there will be a training session, inside the arena, for all staff and volunteers.  If you serve in any capacity, or would like to, please make the effort to attend this very important training!

You know, part of being daughters of the King is bringing His light to those who are going through a dark time in their lives.  We want to be shining examples of Christ’s love and reach out to those who are hurting or in need of help.

There is an opportunity, right now, where YOU can be that light.  A sweet lady named Shannon, is going through a pretty rough time right now with chemotherapy.  We would like to provide her and her daughter with meals to help them each week, for a while.  There are two ways in which you can help:

* Purchase a gift card or cards (from Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) to help with groceries, or a restaurant gift card to cover the cost of a meal.  Bring your gift card(s) to HP Women this Sunday night so we can bless her with these.

* OR you can sign up to bring a meal through our Helps ministry.  Perhaps you even feel like you could commit to bringing a meal on a regular basis…  Either way, just contact the Helps coordinator, Becky Smith, and let her know what you can do.  You can email Becky at rhodessmithr@cox.net or contact Terri at (225) 753-2273 ext. 266.

I can’t wait to see your beautiful, shining faces this Sunday night!!!

XOXO,

DeLynn

ARISE 2010 Conference & Autism Awareness

Posted on 6th March 2010 by DeLynn Rizzo in Uncategorized

Guess where I’m going to be next week???

I have the great honor & privilege of speaking at the Arise 2010 Women’s Conference at Our Savior’s Church in Lafayette, LA.  Michelle Aranza — who has been a guest speaker for Healing Place Women — is hosting this amazing event and it’s not too late for you to register!

Simply go to the ARISE 2010 website and click on the “Register” link at the top.  The conference takes place from March 11th through March 13th.  You can register for individual sessions or the full conference.  There is even a group option!  It would be awesome if you could attend this conference, girls!  I know you would love it and I would love seeing you there!!!

Girls, there is another special opportunity I want to mention…  Did you know that our governor has declared the month of April as “Autism Awareness Month”?  Well, there is a precious young lady named Mila who serves, faithfully, on the HP Kids Worship Team and a support team has been formed for her at the Inaugural Greater Baton Rouge Autism Awareness Walk & Fun Day.  This awesome event will take place on Saturday, March 20th, and our very own Cooking For Christ will be serving up the Jambalaya!

Girls, we need more volunteers to sign up to walk in honor of Mila!!  It’s sure to be great fun and it’s for an important cause…  If you would like to support Mila, just go to: Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge to register!

Love, DeLynn
